Time Odyssey: Theme of KEDGE Annual Gala Dinner in Shanghai
On the evening of March 21st, 2021, KEDGE Annual Gala Dinner took place in Shanghai.
KEDGErs from MBA, EMBA, EA-DBA as well as master and bachelor programmes all gathered together, to celebrate another successful year for KEDGE Business School in China, as well as have a good time with old friends and new ones !
Gala Warm-Up
Guests from all walks of life gathered outside the ballroom. To mark the memorable moments of the KEDGE Annual Gala Dinner, guests took photos in front of the futuristic corridor and the background panel representing the theme of the evening "Time Odyssey". Opening Show
This year, KEDGE Annual Gala Dinner kicked off with a dynamic hip-hop show that instantly lit up the atmosphere. Following the opening show, the 4 hosts (KEDGErs from different intakes of the Global MBA programme) came on the stage. With humor and charm, they extended greetings to all the guests present and set the joyful tone of the night.
Welcome Address
Due to the pandemic, the KEDGE management team in France was not able to come to Shanghai and celebrate with the alumni community. However, with the help of video conferencing tool, Mr. Alexandre de NAVAILLES, the General Manager of KEDGE Business School, and Dr. Guy MARCILLAT, General Manager for China & Vice President International Development and Strategy of KEDGE Business School joined the event live from France. They extended their most sincere greetings to all the guests coming to the KEDGE Annual Gala Dinner, thanked everyone for choosing KEDGE Business School, and hoped that KEDGE would become a new starting point for everyone's career.

Ms. Sabrina WOO, Deputy General Manager for China of KEDGE Business School, addressed the welcome speech for the Gala, expressing her gratitude to all the guests for their attendance.
She recounted the KEDGE-SJTU Global MBA Graduation & Opening Ceremony that took place on the afternoon. Ms. Woo shared her best wishes, and, great expectations to the graduates and new participants.
The KEDGE Alumni Book 2020 Edition, a year-long work of interviews and curation, was revealed that evening.

During the Gala Dinner in Shanghai, 10 alumni clubs and KaSH (KEDGE Alumni Group in Shanghai) made their appearance on the stage. Board committee representatives of each alumni club/groups introduced themselves and warmly welcomed all the alumni and freshmen to join!

The public was treated to 9 excellent performances by our talented alumni, their friends and relatives:
- Piano accompaniment singing “Cantabile Years” by Chris CHEN (Global MBA 2010 Intake) and his son Ricky CHEN.
- Group singing “Love You & Miss You” by Global MBA 2018 Intake
- Musical “Tomorrow” and dance show “You Look Great When You Smile” by KEDGE Kids Club
- Multi-lingual chorus “Youth” by Global MBA 2018 Intake
- Electric drum “Swinging Shanty” & “Red Sun” by KEDGE Entrepreneurship Club
- Group dance “DDU-DU DDU-DU” by KaSH (KEDGE Shanghai Alumni Group)
- Jazz dance “Priceless Sisters in Chinese Style” by Global MBA 2019 Intake
- Choral singing “Golden Age” by Global MBA 2020 Intake

Gala Dinner Lucky Draws
This year's KEDGE Gala Dinner lucky draw session did not disappoint. Lucky winners went away with a bespoke suit, or a vacation to an idyllic resort to just name a few prizes. Our sponsors did not forget anyone: everybody walked away with a bag of goodies. Thanks to all our sponsors for their strong support.
In the convivial atmosphere, the Gala Dinner came to an end.
