Class of 1965: 60 years on, the emotion intact

🌊 Clément Pourtal, KEDGE graduate, takes the voice of ocean protection to the official UN rostrum
A graduate of KEDGE Business School's Grande École program, Clément Pourtal distinguished himself at the United Nations Conference on the Oceans (UNOC3) in Nice, delivering a poignant speech from the official UN podium.
Founder of The Blue Quest documentary project, Clément travels the world with fellow video artist Jérôme Brousse, to highlight local success stories in marine conservation. His speech at the UN marked a turning point: he was one of the few civil society players to officially speak out on the 30x30 objective - to protect 30% of the oceans by 2030.
✊ "We cannot fail, we must do our job"
At the United Nations Conference in Nice, Clément delivered an uncompromising message on the urgency of taking action.
"We cannot fail. We must do our job. We have no choice. We cannot lose these things on our watch."
He reminded us that while political and financial commitments are essential, they are only as good as the concrete action they enable on the ground, where communities and ecosystems need them most.

" The job is done ", said Frédéric Tardieu, president of the Sulubaaï foundation. But for Clément and The Blue Quest, the mission has only just begun. Other projects are already in the pipeline, all with the same ambition: to document, inspire and act to preserve the ocean's most precious resources.
Bravo Clément, and thank you for upholding the values of KEDGE! 👏
