Class of 1965: 60 years on, the emotion intact

🌱 Innovation, luxury and commitment: a graduate revolutionizes beauty with Le Rouge Français
Founder of Le Rouge Français, a pioneering start-up in the world of plant-based cosmetics, Elodie Carpentier (PGE 2010) has just launched a new €2.5 million round of financing.
🤝 Dual skills for innovation

🎓 A graduate of KEDGE' s Grande École program in 2010, Elodie Carpentier also holds a degree in biotechnology engineering from Polytech Marseille. She is thus part of the first generation to benefit from this dual skill set, a valuable combination that has led her to management positions in the pharmaceutical industry (Sanofi, Ipsen), culminating in her position as Global Engineering Director.
"My years at KEDGE remain unforgettable memories, in the unspoilt natural setting of Marseille's calanques. It was an exciting apprenticeship, where practice took precedence over theory, carried by passionate professors who transmitted to us the desire to create and undertake." ✨
💄 Le Rouge Français, an adventure born of conviction
When Elodie became a mother, she decided to become an entrepreneur. Convinced that beauty could rhyme with health and responsibility, she founded Le Rouge Français with a strong ambition: to reinvent the codes of beauty thanks to a global innovation - plant color.
Today, the startup uses biotechnological processes to extract pigments from age-old dye plants, such as madder or the lipstick tree. The result is a range of over 100 make-up and skincare products that are healthy, organic, innovative and eco-responsible. And all in recyclable, premium packaging that embodies French savoir faire. 🌱
"Our formulas are certified organic, titanium dioxide-free, with beneficial properties for the skin. We offer a natural alternative to the chemical and mineral pigments still all too common in the cosmetics industry."
🤝 Le Rouge Français opens up its capital: become a shareholder in an exceptional house
Already present in more than 200 points of sale across 12 countries, Le Rouge Français is pursuing ambitious international growth. The brand is making a name for itself in prestigious stores such as Neiman Marcus and Credo Beauty in the United States, and is preparing to set up in the United Arab Emirates through a regional partnership with L'Occitane and Louis Vuitton. It also plans to open 50 Nocibé shops in France, out of a potential 500 points of sale. In Paris, a flagship store will open in June at 16 rue de Turenne. With 12 proprietary patents on its plant-based colour technology, Nocibé is already working with the Opéra National de Paris and inspirational muses such as a prima ballerina and several American celebrities.

Against this backdrop of strong momentum, Le Rouge Français is raising an unprecedented €1.5 million in community funds and inviting its community to become shareholders. This is a unique opportunity to join the adventure, support a patented innovation and share the vision of committed luxury, where performance goes hand in hand with environmental impact.
🎯 The aim of this fundraising is to:
Support French production to meet growing demand,
Strengthen teams in the field, essential for sales development and training retailers,
Increase brand awareness, both in France and internationally.
🔬 With its exclusive pigment extraction technology based on dye plants, Le Rouge Français aims to become the global GreenTech for plant-based colour and the benchmark for clean & luxury make-up in selective perfumery.
Join the historic investors and new shareholders who are already convinced by this committed vision and high potential.
🎓 A message for the new generation of Kedgers
💭 "To you, young graduates,
I'd like to tell you first and foremost to believe in your dreams, and to hang on to them with perseverance. Every effort you make, every step you take on a daily basis, no matter how modest, will pay off in the end - provided you put in the work, the humility and the ability to adapt.
We live in a world of perpetual transformation. What was the benchmark yesterday may be obsolete tomorrow. Your ability to remain flexible, curious and creative will be your best asset in creating the disruptive innovations that will give rise to the companies of tomorrow. Don't be afraid to think outside the box, to question established models, and above all, to carry out projects in line with your deepest convictions.
Now more than ever, it's essential to respect our planet and take responsibility for your own consumption, by making choices that are consistent with the ecological and social issues of our time. Your diplomas are important, but it's also your values, your commitment and your authenticity that will make all the difference at job interviews, well before experience or technical skills.
I'll also say this: there's never a perfect time to start a business. There's no perfect timing for the entrepreneurial adventure. So why not now? If you have an idea, an intuition, a project that moves you deeply, dare. Go for it. The risk is real, but the satisfaction of building something meaningful, new and impactful is incomparable.
And always remember: every obstacle is an opportunity to learn, to grow, to strengthen. These are the challenges that forge the leaders of tomorrow.
I wish you all the best of luck in finding your path, putting your heart into it, and leaving your mark - yours."
