Paris, 4 October 2022 - METAV.RS, a start-up focused on supporting brands in the metaverse, has announced a round of fundraising netting 3 million euros to accelerate the development of its platform and to intensify recruitment. METAV.RS facilitates the integration and management of product catalogues in different virtual worlds.
Clément started his career at Yves Rocher as a Digital Project Manager before moving on to become Digital Manager EMEA. Those jobs taught him how to work in a complex and international setting on digital transformation projects. After that, he continued his career as Digital Manager at H&H Group (a major pharmaceutical company in Hong Kong) where he was in charge of digital activities related to e-commerce, media, and customer relationship management
In December 2021, Clément co-founded METAV.RS, a platform that lets brands manage their presence in the metaverse. The start-up is currently made up of around twenty employees, has around ten major clients, and has just raised three million euros.
He learned the basics of management and marketing in KEDGE's Bachelor Programme which he put into practice during two internship periods, one of which was in a start-up in Amsterdam. "The Bachelor programme gave me a solid and practical understanding of the essential concepts in business. It's a comprehensive and sound programme, ideal for entrepreneurship.”
The start-up, which until then had been self-financed, has brought in several French and foreign investment funds, experienced entrepreneurs and Web3 players.
This seed round was led by Jsquare (DFG Group), a specialised Web3 fund based in Singapore, which was joined by the consulting firm Sia Partners, through its start-up Studio, and 50 Partners, an investment fund founded by 50 successful entrepreneurs.
METAV. RS is also backed by well-known Business Angels such as David Balland, Co-founder of Ledger, Sébastien Borget, Co-founder and COO of The Sandbox, Michael Amar, Co-founder of Ifeelgoods and multi-entrepreneur, Thibault Renouf, CEO of Partoo, Joël Hazan, Managing Director & Partner of BCG, Sébastien Lalevée, Managing Director of Financière Arbevel, and Jonathan Bordereau, CEO of Golden Bees and responsible for the 50 Partner’s Web3 accelerator
