Chloé DURAND, KEDGE graduate and founder of Carmen & Simone, a committed vegan leather goods company!

Carmen & Simone, vegan handbags made in Europe, created by a KEDGE graduate.

🎓A career at KEDGE

I did my 2 years of master at Kedge Marseille, it was a master in marketing global the 1st year and with option digital in the 2nd year.

I loved my studies at Kedge because it's really the business school as you can imagine, there is a lot of group work on concrete subjects, real projects and quality speakers.

During my studies at Kedge, there were a lot of group projects on the creation of a company with all that it includes: project management / creation of business plan and business model / creation of social networks. So without realizing it during my studies, all this really helped me when I decided to start my own business.

👜Carmen & Simone, a committed brand

Carmen & Simone is a brand of leather goods .

Designed in Aix-en-Provence, our vegan handbags are handmade in Portugal near Porto in the respect of Men.

Our handbags are made from Apple Skin, better known as apple "leather". A material made in Italy, from apple waste. An alternative to animal leather with many similarities both in its visual appearance and its resistance.

100% vegan, durable, waterproof and eco-friendly.

I am the founder of Carmen & Simone, but to describe my job I would say that I am multitasking: I manage social networks, communication, marketing, logistics, suppliers and workshop, website...

🚀What about the future?

To be present in multi-brand stores, to expand the women's handbag collection and to develop new ranges: belts, small leather goods, men's collection.

💪Your advice as a KEDGE graduate

Believe in yourself and be persistent! There are ups and downs, not every day is easy, there are mornings when I feel like giving up but you have to believe in yourself, remember why you are doing it and be patient. Beautiful things take time.
