KEDGE Alumni Wine Tasting

Remote sessions – Registration per session or for the year

Registration for online  KEDGE Alumni Wine Tasting sessions is now open!

These events, which have taken place for 20 years now, are led by Muriel Petit, professional oenologist, and KEDGE graduate Olivier Mora

Our wine-tasting events are open to all KEDGE students and graduates, and to external participants, whether located in France or abroad. The sessions will take place via videoconference once every two months starting at 7 pm. Participants will receive PDF documentation prior to each session and can interact with and ask our wine expert any questions they may have.  What's more, each session ends with a live tasting!

🍇  Sessions

  • Session 1: Thursday, 27 October 2022, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm:
Tour de France of French Appellations

Discover the main French appellations, various wine-growing regions, their grape varieties, and their characteristics.

  • Session 2: Thursday, 24 November 2022, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm:

Wines of Eastern France: Alsace, Savoy, and Jura

What are the characteristics of each of these regions? What are their wines, their properties, their production methods, and their differences and similarities?

  • Session 4: Thursday, 16 March 2023, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm:
Sweet wines from around the world: Sauternes, Alsace SGN and VT, Eiswein, Ausbruch, Tokaj, Vino Santo

  • Session 5 :Tuersday, 11 May 2023, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm:
    Italy vs Spain

Discover these two countries and their wine appellations. What are their wines, their characteristics, their methods of production, and their differences and similarities?

OPTIONAL: If you’d like, you can buy a wine that goes with the theme of the evening to taste during the session. Prior to each session, you will receive wine suggestions related to that evening’s theme.

Recommended wines, which can be purchased at Nicolas, are indicative only. Given the diversity of the course topics, recommending only one wine would not be representative of the various varieties, so several wines will be recommended.

Who these courses are for?

  • Students, graduates, and external participants
  • No particular level is required
  • Persons who love wine
  • Sessions will be held remotely. (You just need a computer, an internet connection and, ideally, a webcam)
  • Sessions will be held in French
  • You can purchase individual sessions or an annual pack
  • To select several sessions without purchasing the full package, you must choose single session registration and add the additional session option one or several times as needed, depending on the total number of sessions you want. You will then be able to select the desired sessions at the end of the registration process.

Muriel Petit has been an oenologist for many years. She conducts courses in both large and small companies, associations, schools, and restaurants, and has a website: "Muriel Petit chef à domicile et formation". "A wine and cooking instructor since 1997 for catering professionals, companies, and individuals, Muriel offers her services as a home chef, as well as lessons, and wine and culinary events for all audiences (professionals, companies, individuals, works councils, associations, adults, and children)."
