This Kedger has opened a concierge service for both holidaymakers and homeowners covering the area between the Normandy coast and the Baie de Somme.

After graduating from KEDGE in 2017 and working for two years in the luxury and fashion sector, Thaïs Alcala has started La Conciergerie des Trois Villes Soeurs, an agency that manages holiday rentals on the coast where she comes from.

She has dared to become an entrepreneur!

Thaïs Alcala, a graduate of KEDGE’s Class of 2017, has had a great career! She attended KEDGE's Grande Ecole Programme in Bordeaux and is then got a master’s in Luxury Marketing. Her gap year in 2018/2019 was split between an internship in merchandising at Hermès Mexico and then six months at KEDGE's partner university in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. After returning to France, she went back to work for Hermès as an Account Manager for Asia. Upon graduating in 2020, she went to work for Balenciaga as a Market Planner for Asia and then on to Etam as Sales Manager for the Spanish market. 

 

The decision to change careers

Hermès Mexico, Rio de Janeiro, Balenciaga – aren’t these all places and brands that make up the dreams of some young girls? Yes! And Thaïs was one of them! However, in 2021 she felt that she needed something else. She wanted to be her own boss, to take control of her life in a different way, and to see the results of her actions. Creating her own business was an obvious direction. Well aware of the appeal of her native region, which is ideally situated between the Baie de Somme and Normandy, she heard that the number of properties being purchased for seasonal rental was increasing. Thaïs decided to use her experience of travelling to help create dream holidays in her little corner of Normandy and Hauts-de-France. The idea took hold and she decided to create a concierge service for both holidaymakers and homeowners. Thaïs officially launched the Conciergerie des Trois Villes Soeurs at the end of 2021. It was the beginning of a great adventure!

Offering peace of mind to owners and customer experience to travellers

Managing the booking calendar, publicising the listing on the key booking platforms, cleaning, maintenance, and welcoming guests are all areas of responsibility that fall on the owners of holiday homes. What does Thaïs promise with her Three Sister Cities Concierge Service? To free owners from the time and demands of running a holiday property. But more than just providing help with logistics, Thaïs wants to also provide travellers with a real customer experience. So she offers little extras that make a difference. Such as? Taking pictures of the rental property, posting ads on Airbnb booking, and talking to the tenants before they arrive. This young woman has no shortage of ideas and details to enhance the customer experience as much as possible. Upon handing over the keys, she doesn't hesitate to give travellers advice and has even written a guide to the best places in the area. The icing on the cake is that, as part of her services, she offers a basket filled with local products (spreadable foods, cider, etc.) to welcome the tenants so that they feel "at home" right away. And of course to make them want to come back to the region!
