Rémy Ardurat, a graduate of KEDGE Business School's École Entrepreneuriale (class of 2025), never imagined he would enter a business school. Coming from a technical background, he thought this world was not for him. However, thanks to the KEDGE Foundation and its donors, he was able to transform an idea born of his family history into a genuine entrepreneurial project.
🌟 A project born of personal experience
In 2022, at a time when he was looking to give more meaning to his career path, Rémy discovered KEDGE's Entrepreneurial School. He had a powerful idea: to draw on the experience of his brother Théo, an autistic adult, to create Soulmate, a digital support solution for people with intellectual disabilities and their caregivers.
"The first few months were a real plunge into the unknown: market research, business model, pitches... all notions that I was discovering and gradually learning to master", he recounts. Three years later, his project has become a company in the making, and he a fully-fledged entrepreneur.
🤝 The key role of the KEDGE Foundation and its donors
Without the Foundation's support, this journey would probably not have been possible. "Clearly, I wouldn't have had the means to access such support. The Entrepreneurial School gave me a caring and demanding framework, as well as access to coaches and experts who helped me avoid many pitfalls."
Beyond the skills acquired, he emphasizes the human dimension: knowing that there are donors behind him who believe in supporting young entrepreneurs was a decisive driving force.
💡 From idea to entrepreneurial posture
At KEDGE, Rémy discovered that entrepreneurship isn't just about having a good idea. Testing, confronting, adjusting and continuous learning are all steps that have enabled him to develop a true entrepreneurial posture. Today, he's continuing the adventure with Soulmate, while exploring other tech projects in parallel.
💭 Any advice?
To those thinking of starting out, he shares a clear piece of advice:
"Don't limit yourself to your initial ideas. Test them, confront them, and surround yourself. Don't be afraid to ask for help; the KEDGE ecosystem is full of resources. Above all, keep in mind that your project must be anchored in a solid mission and values: this is what will keep you going in difficult times."
