This Kedger creates safety masks that are 100% French!

2007 KEDGE graduate, André Piro is taking part in the essential and life-saving launch of a FFP2/3 mask manufacturing company in Marseille.

"In the current Covid-19 crisis, the war between State players in a world where there is a global shortage of surgical masks and FFP-2s has made it apparent that it is becoming urgent for France to secure strategic production capacities on its national territory" explained André.

This is why André Piro and his partner Michael Caroff has decided to launch the “Masque XIX” initiative, in order to be part of an efficient and long-lasting response to the issue of producing protective masks in France:

  • For individuals: a sewing workshop in the upcoming weeks to washable masks that can be reused up to 400 times (a full year of daily use) and that offers a filtration performance that is equal or superior to that of an FFP2 mask;
  • For professionals: Industrial equipment will be deployed by the end of 2020, which will enable the production of up to 9,600 FFP2 masks per hour, for healthcare professionals, private and public companies, schools, communities, etc.
