Chalonnaise and Maconnais Wines

Organised by "Paris Kedge Alumni Wine Tasting"

Online – KEDGE Alumni Wine Tasting

2ND SEMESTER: Session 5: Thursday, 9 June 2022, 7:00 to 9:00 pm:
Chalonnaise and Maconnais wines (Rully, Givry, Mercurey, Montagny, and Bouzeron)
Discover wines from central and southern Burgundy, as well as two of its regions, Chalonnaise and Macon, their appellations, their grape varieties, and their specific characteristics.
These events, which have taken place for 20 years now, are led by Muriel Petit, professional oenologist, and KEDGE Alumnus Olivier Mora

Our oenological meetings are open to all KEDGE students and graduates, and to external participants, whether located in France or abroad. The sessions will take place by videoconference once a month starting at 7 pm. Participants will receive PDF documentation prior to the session and will be able to interact and ask our oenologist any questions they may have.  What's more, each session ends with a live tasting!

OPTIONAL: If you’d like, you can buy a wine corresponding to the theme of the night to taste during the session. Prior to each session, you will receive wine suggestions related to that evening’s theme.

Here is a selection of wines that can be purchased from Nicolas:
White:
Bouzeron Aligoté Bouchard Père et fils
Macon Lugny Saint Pierre Bouchard Pères et Fils
Pouilly Fuissy Chateau de Beauregard
Red:
Mercurey Faivelley
Givry Drouhin

Recommended wines, which can be purchased at Nicolas, are indicative only. Given the diversity of the course topics, recommending only one wine would not be representative of the various varieties, so several wines will be recommended. The wines in bold are wines that are good values in terms of quality or wines at the most reasonable prices.

Who these courses are for:

  • Students, graduates, and external participants
  • No particular level is required
  • Persons who love wine

Format:
  • Sessions will be held remotely. (You just need a computer, an internet connection and, ideally, a webcam)
  • Sessions will be held in French
