"USA-China Hegemonic Struggles, Grand Strategy: Lessons from History"

The global business world is now being reconfigured by a decoupling between the world's two largest economies, the U.S. and China, after decades of interdependence. The current trade and currency wars are resulting in a world with greater risk, more volatility and slower economic growth. As a consequence, business leaders need to embrace the new paradigm that geopolitical risk is likely to play a more central role in shaping markets in the decade ahead.

The conference will deal with the lessons of History, comparing the recent analysis of Graham Allison (Destined for war - America, China and Thucydides's Trap) with the key of readings provided by economic historian Fernand Braudel...
