Conference on "Perseverance in sport", with the two-time world champion French boxer

Two-time French boxing world champion Rim Ridane will be holding a conference on the KEDGE Bordeaux Campus. Graduates are invited to attend.

Forum Events, KEDGE's student association, is delighted to welcome Rim Ridane, two-time French boxing (savate) champion, on Monday January 20, for a conference entitled "Perseverance in sport".

Since the age of 6, Rim Ridane has dreamed of becoming a karate champion, but in 2006, everything collapsed when she received a serious blow to the face, resulting in head trauma. The doctors were clear: if she continued in combat sports, she would end up in a wheelchair.

After two years, locked in her room without being able to practice her passion, she felt she was slowly dying. So she decided to "take the risk of living" by taking up French boxing against the advice of her doctors. Today, she is a two-time world champion and 5-time French champion. Despite the risks to her health, she has decided to pursue her passion, and shows herself to be a strong, combative and ambitious woman.

Rim Ridane is an example of perseverance applied here to the world of sport, but one that provides a model of resilience and success for everyone.
