Marseille Alumni Round Table

Jobs and needs in the health industry

TOPIC:

Like many sectors, the health sector is undergoing major changes as a result of advances in scientific knowledge. These developments have shaken up the approach of medicine in terms of its diagnostic tools and therapy. As they will only to continue, a new approach to health issues is required. In order to adapt to these technical and scientific changes, the booming health industries sector (pharmaceuticals, equipment, medical tools, and diagnostics) is reforming, which entails changing research and development strategies and finding ways to acquire new talent. The emergence of new professions implies the need for training to meet these new jobs.

Sabah LAKHOITRI, 2018 graduate, Master in Management of Structures and Innovative Activities in Health:
After an initial scientific education, Sabah has been a medical delegate for 17 years, first in the city, then at the hospital for the Astra-Zeneca and Lundbeck laboratories. Following a downsizing, and noting that the medical visits are changing, home visits are developing, and that the world of research and development is increasingly outsourced to the profits of biotech, Sabah decided to increase her skills and took a specialised Master – the "Management of Innovative Structures and Activities in Health" (commonly known as the MSIS) - for its health industries option at KEDGE BS. This double-degree Master qualified her for cross-cutting positions.

Paul GIMET, Director of MS Health Innovation KEDGE BS
The Master in Management of Innovative Structures and Activities in Health (MSIS), a specialisation in the "management of innovation in the health industries sector” at KEDGE was created to meet the growing and sustained needs of companies. This Bac + 6 provides scientists (bio, health, pharmacists, and paramedics) and managers with a double degree, that of management and innovation. With the healthcare industry immersed in an ever-changing and global market, these skills are needed in order to meet its technological and human challenges. This is why all management courses are approached through the prism of innovation and focused on know-how.
