CLUB ENTREPRENEURS PARIS

Social entrepreneurship" round table

We are pleased to invite you to the next Club Entrepreneurs Paris roundtable on Tuesday March 8, 2016 at 7:30pm at Kedge BS Paris.

Socialentrepreneurshipat the heart of the social economy revolution

Social entrepreneurship is a new way of doing business, where the aim is no longer just to make a profit, but to solve a social, environmental or/and societal problem. What are its characteristics? What role does it play in today's society? What are the links between the different players in the social economy (public, private non-profit, private for-profit)? Social and solidarity economy, collaborative economy, circular economy...are we really talking about the same things?

We'll be delighted to welcome the following speakers for discussion:

- Christian Vanizette (class of 2009): In 2010, Christian founded MakeSense(www.makesense.org), an international community that brings together SenseMakers and Gangsters around the world to help social entrepreneurs solve their social or environmental challenges through creative workshops(Hold up). MakeSense has mobilized more than 20,000 people in some 100 cities and solved nearly 1,100 entrepreneurial challenges, which notably enabled it to be selected at the end of 2015 for the Google Impact Challenge.

- Hervé Defalvard: An economist and lecturer, Hervé Defalvard is also head of the Social and Solidarity Economy Chair at the University of Paris-Est. In his new book La Révolution de l'économie en 10 leçons, published at the end of 2015, he puts the social and solidarity economy back at the center of the economy, and sees it as the only alternative to neoliberalism.

- Julien Benayoun (class of 2013): Julien founded 1001pact(www.1001pact.com), a participatory financing platform for social, societal and environmental enterprises (health, inclusion, social real estate, etc.). In particular, it gives these companies access to seed-stage financing. In 2015, 3 projects were financed for a total of over 540,000 euros.

At the end of this round table, Noël Bauza (ESC 2015), will pitch his project, ZERO ECOIMPACT, incubated at the Business Nursery.

Grégoire Souloy (ESC 2014 and incubated at the Business Nursery), co-founder of bettertimes.fr, a video branding and video brand content company, will produce the event's video clip.

A convivial cocktail will bring the evening to a close.
