In today's globalised world, international development is one of KEDGE School's top priorities. Here is some advice if you want to use your talents abroad.

Today, more than 15,000 of are alumni are based abroad, but this number is growing more and more with each passing year. Indeed, whether to compensate for a lack of opportunities in France, or for their own personal development, or to take advantage of attractive emerging economies, KEDGE Alumni looking to work outside of France are more and more numerous. As our main mission is to help alumni find jobs, here is some advice so that you can be more effective in your job search.

Going Global: a great resource for information and jobs abroad!

Since June of this year, KEDGE Alumni has been offering all KEDGE Alumni and Students free access to Going Global, a website dedicated to international employement information and job offers. Who to turn to to find accomodation? How to obtain a work permit? Everything is organised by country so that you can easily and quickly find the information you need. The website also lists many job offers and provides lists of tools that could be useful to your job search for each country. It is a great toolbox to help you realise your dream to work abroad!

How can you benefit from this amazing tool?

Attention: you must be logged into your KEDGE Alumni account in order to benefit from free access to Going Global.

Consult the job offers on our jobboard

The quality of our speciliased training programmes is often very well recognised by recruiters, and they quite frequently contact your school directly to recruit future employees. In order to avoid an influx of inappropriate applications, companies prefer to directly target graduates who have completed a programme that is reknown around the world (like the ISLI, EBP, MAI or MVS... programmes). Our jobboard is private, so only KEDGE Alumni can access it: recruiters value this exclusivity. If you have lost your login information to access the jobboard, you can retreive it via the below form.

Participate in our international meetings

Every single HR manager will tell you the same thing: your network is your biggest strength! This also applies abroad: the more people you know, the more likely you are to be able to access opportunities, often hidden ones. There are no reliable statistics regarding the hidden market, but specialists agree that it represents a large portion of available offers, so don't neglect it. KEDGE Alumni helps you meet other alumni in most expat cities, notably by supporting initiatives implemented by 200 volunteer alumni who host, each year, more than 250 meetings in Europe, in Asie, in America, in Africa and in the Middle-East. Afterworks, professional clubs, conferences: learn more about these events on the "Calendar" page on the Alumni Association's website.

Find contacts abroad with the Alumni directory

Getting advice from people who have lived in your target country for a while is essential when you are planning your departure. The alumni directory allows you to conduct a search by country, region, or even city: which is very practical if you want to contact an alumni that already lives there. Our Branch Managers for example, can be an excellent source of information.

Join KEDGE Alumni's international groups on social media

In order to best support our alumni around the world, the school's Community Managers have created Facebook and Linkedin groups for every country or region in the world, so that local alumni communities can easily exchange with one another without disturbring all 56,000 graduatues, who aren't all concerned by your questions. Do you have a question about the Visa, real estate, the cost of living in a particular country? Ask the group if your targeted region! Click here to consult the map of international groups.

Participate in our online recruitment forums

Thanks to the new "E-Forum" module offered by KEDGE Alumni, KEDGE graduates will now be able to participate in online recruitment forums. This tool will allow you to upload your CV on the platform, which will then be viewed by recruiters looking for new talents. You can even provide the geographical areas you are interested in. And what if, in then, the recruiters come to you? Check your email often, we regularly launch new campaigns! The first one wll be dedicated to internships, but others are being planned for CDI/CDD/VIE offers.

Good luck in your job search, and we will see you soon in our branches (both virtual and real) abroad!
