Online conference: starting a business in the United States – opportunities and challenges

As part of our “American month” conferences, we offer you the opportunity to meet Ilan Abehassera and Elodie de Marchi, two KEDGE graduates living in the USA and experts on the experts on the subject

INTRODUCTION 👋

The Great American Dream is often associated with the idea of an entrepreneur, the "self-made man", in a country that promises and strongly encourages business creation and those who aren’t afraid of having big dreams. Have you ever wondered who what is the utopian part and what is the reality of these beliefs? This is precisely the object of this round-table with Elodie de Marchi, former Vice-President of the investment bank in Silicon Valley Bank and Ilan Abehassera, serial entrepreneur and investor living in New York. The experience of our two guests will allow us to highlight the reality of entrepreneurship in the United States, from the East Coast to the West Coast.

CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES 🧭

Led by teams of the KEDGE Alumni and the Business Nursery, this conference aims to present the reality of entrepreneurship in the United States when you are French with not much of a network. Elodie de Marchi will go over her beginnings in Silicon Valley and Ilan Abehassera will explain how he launched his first company in New-York with his analysis of the key differences between the American and French systems.

WHO’S THIS ONLINE CONFERENCE FOR? 👤

This conference is not only open to all Kedgers, whether a graduate or a student, but also to the KEDGE entire community (partners, teachers, staff, etc.) and anyone else interested in the topic.
