Alumni Conference Paris

Encourage commitment and the taking of initiative through participatory management

TOPIC:

Participatory management is a form of practice management that consists of encouraging the commitment and initiative of work teams through empowerment and involvement in the company’s daily activities, especially in decision-making.

Getting the best out of your team members, maintaining their motivation, and allowing them to freely use their talent will help any business achieve very good results.

Free Spirit used the concept of participatory management for its EMAJINARUM show, which brought together 200 artists. No artistic director or choreographer was involved in putting this show together. Instead, the human being was placed at the heart of this project, and it was the born out of the close collaboration between the various talents involved.

Although participatory management is usually used in start-ups, Free Spirit succeeded in its gamble.
