This Kedger concocts oils based on medical cannabis (and it's legal)

A 2016 KEDGE graduate, Sarah Baillon has recently launched Esanssi: her own brand of oils made with CBD oil.

After receiving a law degree in Aix-en-Provence and doing an Erasmus year in England, Sara enrolled in KEDGE Business School’s International Business (MACI) MSc programme at its Bordeaux campus, and took a gap year to travel and work in Australia.

After getting her degree from KEDGE in 2016, Sarah did an internship at Sterimed in South Carolina. She was hired six months later as Product Manager at their offices located in Boulogne-Billancourt.

In December 2017, Sarah moved to New York in order to join her boyfriend, now her partner. It was only after she got to New York that she started doing freelance.“It gave me time to get settled in a new country, and at the same time, to build a network,” she explained.

In March 2019, she decided to create her own brand: Esanssi. It’s a line of CBD oils, made with cannabis, which has many medicinal properties. It can be used, not only for stress and common aches and pains, but for more aggressive illnesses, such as epilepsy and cancer.

"This is a product that is already popular in the United States, but is still relatively unknown in France [...] Our oils combine CBD and botanical extracts (lavender, turmeric, and adaptogenic plants)," said Sarah.

In the near future, the entrepreneur wants to develop and expand her product line, and open stores in New York and France. The products are already sold internationally via her website. For every sale, she donates $1 to the One Tree Planted NGO, which fights against deforestation.

To conclude, Sarah said, "CBD is new to the market. Customers need a good place where they can receive advice, recommendations, and just to learn more about CBD. We hope to raise the necessary funds for this next step!"
