A Kedger becomes a communications consultant in Fintech

A 2006 KEDGE Business School graduate with 11 of experience, Bluenne Chaye is now the founder of Blu Events & Consulting.

After more than 11 years working in communications in both France and internationally - including 3 years at BNP Paribas Group and 3 years at Saxo Banque - Bluenne Chaye worked with many communication agencies or service providers as a communication manager. Faced with the recent emergence of financial start-ups ("fintech"), she notes that there is a need to be filled.

"The big communication agencies are charging rates too high for "early stage" companies, or are sometimes too far removed from the reality of young companies or small or medium-sized companies, who need a practical approach that is oriented toward the providers in the field they call. The communication needs of a start-up which have only existed a few years are rather basic, but nevertheless fundamental to get going: structure its dialogue, define its messages and positioning, and address them to specific targets,” explains Bluenne.  

Today, there are only a few consultants who can provide guidance to companies while respecting their economic constraints. It because of this realisation, as well as various encounters she’s had over the recent years that she decided to launch her venture that proposes a simple, effective, results- and field-oriented, and "the what I am image”, to support its customers with their communication strategy

The communication role within companies and society has undergone an unprecedented transformation and requires a level of professionalisation as high as, or even more than, the other functions of the company. In the 2.0 era, the brand has become more important and is at the heart of a company's strategy. Job offers or communication jobs are growing (vs a traditional marketing job which has been much more coveted for a long time). Knowing how to tell stories and make well-chosen and quality content has become essential in order stand out from the competition. This is basically a message she wants to convey to her future customers: "think about it before it's too late".

"Good communication requires being prepared and organised and I can help you with that.”

Blu Events & Consulting mainly targets early-stage or well-established FinTechs. It has a firm knowledge of this sector, as well as with the issues related to the Open Bank phenomenon, digital transformation, digitization, and other key challenges for the financial sector of tomorrow.
