 KEDGE - SJTU Sino-French Educational Cooperation: the Adventure Continues

KEDGE-SJTU EMBA and Global MBA programmes held the graduation and opening ceremony on December 9th, 2017 in Shanghai.

Over 200 guests including officials from the French Consulate General in Shanghai, leaders from both schools, 2015 intake EMBA and Global MBA graduates together with their families, 2017 intake MBA new participants, as well as representatives of the strategic partner corporations attended the ceremony, including Mr. José MILANO, Director General of KEDGE Business School, Dr. Fabien CHAREIX, Attaché for university cooperation, Consulate General of France in Shanghai, Dr. Pascal VIDAL, Associate Dean and Academic Programmes Director, Dr. Hervé REMAUD, Global Executive MBA Director, Dr. Guy MARCILLAT, General Manager for China of KEDGE Business School, Dr. ZHANG Weimin, Dean of Institute of Cultural and Creative Industry of Shanghai Jiaotong University, Dr. Jean-François VERGNAUD, French Dean of Sino-French Institute of Renmin University, etc.

Results of Sino-French Educational Cooperation

Mr. José MILANO, Director General of KEDGE Business School, firstly congratulated the graduates of EMBA and Global MBA 2015 intake, and welcomed the 2017 new intake Global MBA participants. In his speech, Mr. José MILANO mentioned: “Shanghai and Marseille have been twin cities since 1987. Both cities have strongly supported the partnership between KEDGE Business School and Shanghai Jiaotong University.” The partnership started from year 2003. It has endured for over 14 years up till now – the oldest between a Chinese university and a French Grande Ecole. “Both our institutions have been pioneers in the Sino-French relationships that are now thriving!” said Mr. José MILANO. He highlighted the strategic importance of the cooperation between KEDGE Business School and the Institute of Cultural and Creative Industry of Shanghai Jiaotong University, and hoped that both sides would carry out more cooperation and generate fruitful development.

New Intake, New Journey

Dr. Hervé REMAUD, MBA Programme Director, expressed his high expectations for the 2017 intake Global MBA. He hoped that within the 2 following years, the new intake would embrace challenges, get brand-new cross-cultural learning experience, participate more in business practices and become managers with global vision.

MBA 2017 Intake Class Representative, Ms. Marie-Anne TANGUY, shared the reason why she chose the Global MBA programme of KEDGE Business School and Shanghai Jiaotong University: not only participants would improve their business skills via courses, it would also be the best way to fuse Chinese and western cultural and business practices. She expressed her pleasure to become a member of this family and could not wait for the MBA learning trip.

The First Class of China Social Finance Mini MBA Programme

The first intake of the China Social Finance Mini MBA Programme concerned more than 30 social finance talents nation-wide, including government representatives from Shanghai Social Group Administrative Bureau, corporate executives from Ant Financial Services Group and Baidu, managers from public benefit institutions such as Guangdong He Foundation, Hainan Chengmei Charity Foundation, Shanghai Charity Foundation, as well as managers from the media industry. All these people got together to learn the best practices in social finance.

On December 9, 2017, Mr. José MILANO, Director General of KEDGE Business School, and Mr. ZHOU Xufeng, Deputy General of CBN Foundation, conferred the certificates to the participants.
