About the mini-conference

"How has the Supply Chain become increasingly strategic for companies?"

The aim of Yann Bouchery's talk is to highlight the key strategic role played by the Supply Chain within organizations. Indeed, controlling physical, information and financial flows has become a key area of expertise in many sectors. Three key trends have emerged: resilience, sustainability and the rise of omni-channel, all of which require new skills and know-how.

Yann Bouchery is Associate Professor of Operations Management and Director of the Supply Chain Center of Excellence at Kedge Business School. He holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering from Ecole Centrale Paris, obtained in 2012. Before joining Kedge Business School in 2019, he held teaching/research positions at Ecole Centrale Paris, Eindhoven University of Technology (Netherlands) and EM Normandie. His research focuses on the sustainability aspects of operations management and logistics, as well as the management of transport ecosystems in the hinterland of major seaports. His research work is published in international journals such as Production and Operations Management, Transportation Science, European Journal of Operational Research, International Journal of Production Economics. He is also co-editor of a book entitled "Sustainable Supply Chains: A Research-Based Textbook on Operations and Strategy".
